Why have jelled, canned cranberry sauce when you can make your own, fresh, with 2 ingredients. 2 ingredients. Seriously. Typing this takes longer than putting this together. Cranberries and orange juice. That's IT.
Makes about 1 cup
2 cups fresh cranberries
1 cup orange juice
Combine the cranberries and orange juice in a small pot on your stove and cook for about 45 minutes on medium heat, stirring often.
The cranberries will slowly burst in the juice and begin to thicken. This is a tart cranberry sauce so you can add about 2 tbsp of maple syrup to the mixture if you'd like it a little sweeter.
