Breakfast Quinoa

This is a super easy breakfast alternative to oatmeal you can make the day of or even the weekend before and dish up in ready to go bowls. Its good hot and its good cold.

Breakfast Quinoa

  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp raw pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tbsp oats
  • 1 tbsp sliced almonds
  • 1/2 banana, sliced
  • 1 tbsp plum puree, optional

Cook The Quinoa

In your rice cooker or on the stove top, combine 1 cup quinoa and 2 cups water and cook.


Combine 1 cup of  cooked quinoa, honey, almond milk, and optional plum puree and mix together. Refrigerate until ready to eat. Take pumpkin seeds, oats, sliced almonds, and banana along with you if you're taking this breakfast on the go, and add just before you eat.

Plum Puree

It can't get any easier than this. Slice overripe plums to remove their pits and drop the fruit in your Vitamix, food processor, or blender. Whiz up into a puree and spoon a few tablespoons on to your quinoa - enjoy!
